Building Finance Update
Thank you for your generous hearts as 224 families and individuals have pledged $6,905,000 toward the building expansion project. Our goal is still $7,000,000, so we are getting close and some are still considering their gifts. We plan to go forward with the project with construction beginning in mid-summer and of course the more funds committed now, the smaller the now planned $2.6MM loan will need to be. Please continue to pray for God’s will to be done and that he may be glorified through our generous giving.
February 7th marks the lauch of our Building Campaign. Below you will find a variety of links that SSBC’s Building Finance Committee has assembled for you to prayerfully consider giving to this building project.
Building Campaign Devotional Study Guide - “This study guide was prepared for you to study what Scripture teaches about money, our hearts and giving… Don’t waste this season of facility expansion by merely focusing on putting up bricks and mortar. It’s time to draw close to God and awaken from our lukewarm complacency so we will be spiritually ready to use this building” -Pastor Jeramie, taken from the Devotional Study Guide p. 1

The church has continued to grow to the point where ministry is beginning to be restricted due to lack of space. In order to effectively serve the people of the Hingham area in the future, we need to increase our sanctuary and Sunday School facilities. Over several years the Church has prayerfully sought God’s will in the expansion plan and continues to look in faith to God’s direction and timing. The mission of the Church has always been to reach out to the lost and to build up the faith of believers who come to worship as opposed to numeric growth. The elders and the congregation have determined that the most effective strategy to accommodate the growth is to build in the current location.

2. Question and Answer - Discussion time will be planned for any and all questions comments with the hope that we will all have a fuller and even more unified understanding of what we are about to undertake
3. Presentation- Jeramie will address the direct linkage of this building project with the mission and needs of SSBC and specifically deal with the question, “Why not just plant churches?”
