Parents (and grandparents) are God’s original children’s ministry. God calls parents, and especially fathers, to “bring [children] up in the training and instruction of the Lord” (Ephesians 6:4).
First Graders receive their Adventure Bibles this fall
Our children’s ministry focuses primarily on teaching children the Bible and the gospel of Jesus in a safe, loving, and fun environment. We long to see God raise up another generation of faithful believers. We believe that one of our greatest mission fields is right here, among the children of the church. SSBC is eager to partner with families to see this hope fulfilled.

MEMORY WORK PROGRAM
The time and effort spend on scripture memorization is a gift of a legacy for your family for a lifetime. ”…but the word of the Lord will last forever.” 1 Peter 1:24
Children are expected to recite the complete text and reference word perfect with the allowance of one cue per text. Please make arrangements through Children’s Ministry if your child is not able to attend programs to record recitation.

Family Ministry
South Shore Baptist Church is committed to helping families grow in their faith together. By hosting a family Bible study once a week, we hope to give parents a chance to grow and connect with their kids, as well as offer them more confidence for spiritual leadership at home. Join us for this exciting family ministry!
What to Expect
The evening begins at 6:15 with worship and Bible study in Fellowship Hall. Families participate together as they are led in interactive Bible exploration using Word of Life* curriculum. Families with additional children younger or older than the target age of K-5 are encouraged to bring them along! The ministry of a family can be a powerful influence, so we also encourage parents to invite their children’s unsaved friends to attend with them.
