Children’s Ministry

First Graders get new Bibles of their own!

First Graders receive their Adventure Bibles

Our children’s ministry focuses primarily on teaching children the Bible and the gospel of Jesus in a safe, loving, and fun environment. We long to see God raise up another generation of faithful believers. We believe that one of our greatest mission fields is right here, among the children of the church. SSBC is eager to partner with families to see this hope fulfilled.

SUNDAY MORNINGS

GPS (Grades K-5)

GPS (Grow, Proclaim, Serve) is for all elementary age children, Grades K-5. This program has a strong discipleship emphasis and meets during the sermon time of our worship services on Sunday mornings. (Children are dismissed prior to the sermon.) This year we will explore the fruit of the Spirit. This kids will worship together, learn together, and spend part of the time in  Journey Groups (small groups). They will pray together, respond to the lesson in discussion and activities, and have a snack while in their Journey Groups.

Children’s Choir

SSBC Children’s Choir provides students in Grades K-5 with an opportunity to sing to the Lord and for His glory in a choral setting. It rehearses during the sermon time on Sunday mornings and sings in the service occasionally.

Sunday School

10:45-11:45 AM during the school year. Sunday School classes are offered for children ages 3 and older during the school year. Children will be taught through a Bible focused curriculum from age 3 – Grade 5. There is so much to learn as we walk with Christ. This is a valuable hour of time, different than GPS.

MEMORY WORK PROGRAM

The time and effort spend on scripture memorization is a gift of a legacy for your family for a lifetime.  ”…but the word of the Lord will last forever.”  1 Peter 1:24

Memory Verse Chart 2017-18
