Our children’s ministry focuses primarily on teaching children the Bible and the gospel of Jesus in a safe, loving, and fun environment. We long to see God raise up another generation of faithful believers. We believe that one of our greatest mission fields is right here, among the children of the church. SSBC is eager to partner with families to see this hope fulfilled.

Children age 4 and those in Grades K-1 are dismissed to Children’s Church prior to the sermon. They meet for age appropriate worship readiness experiences as they learn about and celebrate our wonderful God. We would love to open this up to Grades 2-3 once we have a larger volunteer base. Consider serving in this area!
Please pick up children promptly after the worship service (by 10:40am) unless they will be attending Sunday School afterward. Children will be brought to their Sunday School classes by leaders at 10:40am.
10:45-11:45am during the school year. Sunday School classes are offered for children ages 3 and older during the school year. Children will be taught through a Bible curriculum with scope and sequence from age 3 – Grade 5. No children’s Sunday School during the summer months.
SSBC Children’s Choir provides students in Grades 1-5 with an opportunity to sing to the Lord and for His glory in a choral setting. It rehearses during the sermon time on Sunday mornings and sings in the service occasionally.

MEMORY WORK PROGRAM
The time and effort spend on scripture memorization is a gift of a legacy for your family for a lifetime. ”…but the word of the Lord will last forever.” 1 Peter 1:24
Children are expected to recite the complete text and reference word perfect with the allowance of one cue per text. Please make arrangements through Children’s Ministry if your child is not able to attend programs to record recitation.
