“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity.” (1 Timothy 4:12)
This verse epitomizes the purpose of youth ministry. South Shore Baptist Church strives to create an environment where students can be transformed into mature Christians who can set examples for believers of all ages. Every week students have an opportunity to develop relationships with each other and with the youth volunteers through open game time and in small groups. They are exposed to substantive, engaging Bible teaching in Sunday school, FTF and MI. For students seeking to take a further step in emulating Timothy there are yearly mission trips and Ministry Team meetings for students who want to grow deeper in their faith and serve others in the youth group and the community at large. Students are at a variety of places in their lives spiritually, but we try to create an intentional environment wherein faith can grow and blossom. Come check us out!!
