Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in life, in love, in faith and in purity. (1 Timothy 4:12)

South Shore Baptist Church strives to create an environment where students can be transformed into mature Christians who can set examples for believers of all ages.

Our youth group exists to glorify God by discipling the next generation of worshippers of the Lord and Savior Jesus Christ by the word of God. This is done through the preaching of God’s word at youth group, Sunday School, youth retreats and mission trips.

Discipleship is a large component of the youth ministry. There is a large emphasis on small groups and one-to-one discipleship. We seek to come alongside parents in their efforts to make disciples of their children.

Youth Group

Youth Group is our weekly gathering on Sunday nights from 6-8pm. This weekly ministry is full of fun, games, and a lively environment! Each week there is time to play games, socialize and fellowship. There is time to worship our great God and hear teaching from God’s word, then time in small groups to discuss the teaching. These groups are geared toward discipleship.

Sunday School

Sunday School is an opportunity for students in Junior and Senior High to have a chance to hear from the Bible and find out what it means for their lives. Sunday School generally consists of expositional teaching from the Bible and allows for students to interact with the teaching and participate in learning.
